Australia Day Celebrations 2016

Argon Design continues its strong association with the Australia Day Council of South Australia with a busy, but enjoyable, last few days over the Australia Day period.

In the lead up to the various Australia Day celebrations held throughout the state we were still on the go finalising event programmes, menus, displays, signage as well as all those last-minute website updates! Phew!

To kick off celebrations the Argon Design team attended the Australia Day Luncheon, which is quickly becoming one of the major highlights on the Argon calendar. Amazing food, engaging public speakers and a relaxed atmosphere for all attendees. A big thanks to Vicky from Eventful Projects, Sam from City Brief and Meroë and Callum from Culshaw Miller for joining us on our table for the day.

The next cab off the rank was Australia Day at Work, held the day before Australia Day, superbly hosted by the guys and girls out at Inconmat. The BBQ and customary hit of warehouse cricket are one of Argons most enduring traditions and it’s a great excuse to catch up with one of our oldest clients.

Finally, the Australia Day in the City event is the pièce de résistance of the Australia Day festivities with a massive crowd packing out Elder Park. The street parade started proceedings, followed by the concert headlined by Samantha Jade while the fireworks extravaganza completed another very successful event put on by the Australia Day Council of South Australia.
