Work Experience with Tim

For the next four months Argon Design will be hosting University student Tim Stoeckel, every Thursday, in our Halifax street office. Tim is interested in design and film and is keen to learn more about the industry throughout his time at Argon. During this time he will be exposed to the technical aspects of the business as well as taking on real work responsibilities.

Why have you chosen to do Work Experience at Argon Design?

To learn about the inner workings of a graphic design company and to expand my skills in a range of areas by discovering the different roles and what they undergo to complete projects.

List 3 brands that inspire you and explain why:

Nintendo, Pixar and Krispy Kreme.

They’ve all been around for a long time and there is no sign of them slowing down.

Nintendo and Pixar continue to deliver quality products and they seem youthful and fun. I recently went to Krispy Kreme for the first time and loved their set-up, plus their food is great.

How would you define the term ‘Branding’?

Attracting a particular audience and projecting a particular vibe/feel to that audience to raise interest and excitement.

What can you see yourself doing in 10 years time?

Working a steady job in graphic design or film hopefully.

What do you enjoy most about design class at University?

Being able to talk with other students and work with them together.

What do you enjoy least about design class at University?

Class only runs for a semester at Uni, so there’s not a lot of time to work on projects intensively.

What do you like about living in Adelaide?

Coming from a country town, I’ve seen everything there. Adelaide gives me the opportunity to explore and I know I’ll see something different every day.
