Kerning Graphic Design Test

Ever wanted to be a Graphic Designer?

Have you ever fancied living the glamour, no holds barred, thrill a minute life of a professional graphic designer?

Well here it is… kerning.

In typography, kerning is the process of adjusting the spacing between characters in a proportional font, usually to achieve a visually pleasing result.

This is what our designers do every day. Whether it’s modifying text in logos, brochures, advertisements, signage, email templates or websites. We know you’re on tenterhooks so we won’t keep you waiting any longer.

Introducing KERNTYPE, a kerning game that helps hone your typography eye by creating an evenly spaced word. Just be careful, it gets pretty intense.

Our designers managed to score a few full marks, but it’s not as easy as it looks. See how you go!

If you are interested in refining any of your design skills there are other games on the Method of Action website that will help you master some of the harder technical aspects of design.
