Australia Day Council

Argon has had the pleasure of working on various projects with the Australia Day Council of South Australia since 2012, which include Australia Day in the City, Australia Day Luncheon and Australia Day Awards.

Australia Day in the City

Australia Day in the City is the largest on the Australia Day Council of South Australia’s calendar with a combination parade, concert and fireworks lighting up the city of Adelaide on January 26 every year. This particular project incorporates the full gamut of skills in the Argon toolkit; from branding, design and web development to signage and TV advert creation!

Australia Day Luncheon

The Australia Day Luncheon is held in the lead up to the Australia Day celebrations ‘which bring together the South Australian community to discuss National Identity and celebrate what’s great about Australia and being Australian’. The branding takes a more formal approach, as opposed to the family-friendly Australia Day in the City project, that better fits the prestige of the event.

AUSTRALIA DAY AWARDS

Similarly to the Australia Day Luncheon, the ‘Awards’ branding has been designed for a more corporate crowd, which include dignitaries and high-profile organisations. The ceremony, often held on the grounds of Government House, celebrates the achievements of the South Australian Community Event of the Year, the South Australian Young Citizen of the Year and the South Australian Citizen of the Year.

These colour-coded lanyards help the event organisers keep track of artists, media, crew and parade marshals.
A native floral theme was designed for both the Awards and Luncheon branding, creating a continuous, yet individual, approach to the events.
Themed programs were created for both the Awards and Luncheon events.
