As we approach the 100 year anniversary of the ANZAC Gallipoli landing, we are helping out one of our long standing customers this week, Louise Bagger Photography. Louise is after all WW2 servicemen and women to be part of an initiative by the Australian Institute of Professional Photographers, who are capturing nostalgic and historical shots for the national archives.
The project, known as “Reflections” is ‘one of the most ambitious photographic projects ever undertaken in Australia’ and will commemorate the 75th anniversary of WW2 honouring our heroes and 100 years of ANZAC tradition. A professionally printed portrait will be given to each veteran, free of charge for their participation.
Accredited photographers, like Louise, are donating their time and talent to this initiative so the very least we can do, with well over 10,000 veterans to be contacted, is simply ask for anybody with information on locating these servicemen and women to please go to www.aippveterans.com and register.
If we can pass the word around, there is no doubt of a successful outcome.
